Don Smith of Invest Comics has posted his extremely positive review of Harbor Moon over at their site. He calls it 'the 30 Days of Night for the werewolf crowd.' A comparison we'll glad take.
"This magnum opus can be considered the 30 DAYS OF NIGHT for the werewolf crowd. The story is heavy, the art is trippy, dreamy and heavier, but creator Ryan Colucci has much to be proud of with this book...
While this story could have easily gone the way of being a retread of THE HOWLING movies, it did not. Granted the cliches of boy seeking father, town with a secret and, heck, the werewolf genre have been played up in the last several years, it is still a great story.
As for the art by Pawel Sambor... Many pages are beautiful masterpieces, others are kinetic mixes of chaos, color and dark... The end of the book with the werewolves are beautiful."
